Socius Insurance Services, Inc. was founded in 1997 by Patrick Hanley, our President, and Paul Lefcourt, our Sr. Vice President, Management Liability Practice Leader and Principal. Our original name was ECM Insurance Services, Inc. and in January 2007, we changed our name to Socius Insurance Services, Inc. which we feel best describes our business philosophy. "Socius" is a derivative of the Latin word meaning "partner", a philosophy that we take very seriously.
Although Socius was started with a focus on Management Liability risks, we quickly became aware that to best serve our clients, we needed to expand to include a Property and Casualty practice, so in 2000, Darren Chilimidos, Sr. Vice President joined Socius as our Property and Casualty Practice Leader.
